The Vision
- Sylvester "Sly" Black has quietly gone about his business of coaching and developing junior gold ball winners and professional players
- Sly is considered to be the most successful junior tennis coach in North America over the past 10 years
- Sly has teamed up with some of the highest level tennis coaches and sports science practitioners in the world
- Sly has no interest in creating a tennis factory atmosphere and is going to keep everything in his program privatized or semi-privatized
The program
- Stroke Production: Learning correct technique and consistency with each stroke by drilling and video observation
- Footwork Movement: Learning the correct and most efficient movement in tennis including sand work, field and track work, and on-court movement.
- Drilling: Having tennis balls fed to the members by our pros with precision, working on patterns, technique, specialty shots, and conditioning
- Live Ball Drilling: Match simulations, playing patterns, consistency drills, placement and target drilling, endurance and speed training
- Video Analysis: Watching match-play, stroke production, and discussing technical analysis
- Strength & Flexibility Training: Building your body to become stronger and more flexible to prevent injury
- Mental Toughness: Learning what to do between points, how to focus one point at a time, and learning to compete in the zone
- Speed and Agility: Learning to move using Center- Point Theory to become a faster and more efficient player with sand, track, and field workouts
- Match Play: Point simulations such as playing up, playing down, pressure sets, and playing the score
Tennis private lessons
- "Private Lesson" Schedule will be 6 hours per day
- "Private lessons" range from $ 50 -$175 per hour depending on coach and content of lesson
- It is important for parents to recognize that drill sessions do not take the place of private lesson instruction
- Private lessons are necessary to work on your junior's individual needs, not the set agenda in the drills. All of the instructors help run drill sessions
- "Daily Private Lessons during School Time" will be limited so please in inquire as to availability
- Will not responsible for any aspect of private lessons including medical liability

Expert coaching staff
- Personalized attention with a "Coach to Player Ratio" of 1 to 4, highly certified with great coaching experience
- Offer a variety of semi/private lessons depending on the players needs and skill level
- Meet each players needs with: one-on-one lessons focusing on additional stroke productions, fed-ball drilling, footwork movement, mental strength training, physical conditioning, video analysis, etc.
- Meet each players need with tennis specific conditioning (agility, quickness, footwork, plyometric, etc.)
- Provide a Fun, Friendly, and Family Atmosphere, with a game plan in mind to mentor, develop, and maximize the players' potential, talent, and skill level
- Continue to establish SBITT as the #1 High Performance Tennis Training Program for junior players in South Florida and in the quickest, safest, and most fun manner possible
- SBITT has the staff and resources to allow any player to reach the level of excellence they desire: high school team, advanced junior competition, collegiate tennis, or the pro circuits
- Promote Academics and Character in Tennis
- Focus on technique, strategy, mental strength, and physical conditioning in a very serious atmosphere of match play, drilling, and physical training
- Travel to tournaments with a group of other players who have experience in competition and/or already ranked in the state, nationally or internationally
- Take the essential training elements on the road to tournaments as a team, supporting each other and learning how to not only win, but to make losses a learning and growing experience
- Notes, progress reports, along with video will be kept and reviewed in match play like the professionals do
- Continually monitor the progress of each tennis player and discuss each players' individualized needs with their parents
